  • Coffee Chat: The Tim Lowrey ALS Panel Series

    Coffee Chat: The Tim Lowrey ALS Panel Series on September 18, 2025 from12:30 pm - 1:30 pm EST. Presented by I AM ALS. 

    This one-hour session includes a short PowerPoint overview of the disease: diagnosis, sporadic and bulbar presentations, genetic/familial ALS, treatments, and a case study highlighting the need for prompt diagnosis. Then audiences hear firsthand from people living with ALS, as well as current or former caregivers, who openly share their experience, and the profound impact ALS has had on their lives. The inspirational panelists also will answer ANY question from the audience, offering a deeper understanding of the realities of ALS.

  • Spring 2025 Nursing Webinar Resilience and Advocacy in Nursing: Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic

    Join us April 24th from 12 pm to 1 pm EST for an insightful discussion on the impact of COVID-19 on nursing and the critical role of resilience and advocacy in shaping the profession. Our guest’s speaker will cover key areas including (1) Identifying challenges like burnout, PTSD, and staffing shortages, (2) Examining resilience strategies, mental health interventions, and systemic changes, and (3) Assessing the role of nursing advocacy in post-pandemic policy improvements. Gain practical tools to support well-being, strengthen resilience, and drive meaningful change in healthcare. This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Northeast
    Multistate Division Education Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission for 1.0 CNE contact hours.

Guest Speaker Savannah Woods BS, RN  will cover key areas, including (1) Identifying challenges like burnout, PTSD, and staffing shortages, (2) describing resilience strategies, mental health interventions, and systemic changes, and (3) identifying the role of nursing advocacy in post-pandemic policy improvements. The goal of this presentation is to empower nurses with the knowledge, skills, and strategies needed to navigate the post-pandemic healthcare landscape with resilience and advocacy.

  • Chi Tau at-Large 2025 Needs Assessment Survey

    Please complete our 2025 Needs Assessment Survey by February 24th to help the Board support an effective and engaging chapter. 

  • Scholarship and Award Opportunities for Chapter Members - Due

    Chi Tau at-Large Chapter is pleased to announce that we are once again offering three different scholarship and award opportunities to our chapter members in 2025. All members are welcome to apply based on meeting requirements. 

    1. Chi Tau at-Large Leadership Scholarship: This scholarship award provides an opportunity for leadership development.  A nurse leader or nursing student will be awarded a free one-year Chi Tau at-Large membership contingent on serving on the Chi Tau at-Large Board of Directors, and/ or on a Chi Tau at-Large committee.  The award will renew for a second year of free Chi Tau at-Large membership pending a review of the awardee's active involvement in the chapter.
    2. Chi Tau at-Large Chapter Community Volunteer Service Award: This award recognizes an active Chi Tau at-Large member who provides outstanding volunteer service to their community through their time, actions, talents, and dedication.
    3. Chi Tau at-Large Chapter Research Scholarship: To encourage nurses to contribute to the advancement of professional nursing through research.  This $500 award is given to a Chi Tau at-Large Chapter member who is advancing nursing science.

  • 2025 Chapter Call for Nominations

    Chi Tau at-Large’s Leadership Succession Committee is looking for members interested in taking an active role in our chapter. Serving on the chapter board is a wonderful opportunity for service to the nursing profession and SUNY Delhi/Morrisville. Please consider serving in one of these positions to keep our chapter functioning. If you are interested in any of these positions, please email Beth Boyd, Leadership Succession Committee Chair (boydbb@delhi.edu) for a candidate consent form.
